Introduction to Engineering Technology
MET161 is  an introduction to computers, programming, and computer applications. The computational skills needed to solve design problems are developed. The course introduces concepts from computer graphics, parametric design, and macro-programming for integrated software packages. Emphasis is on programming, documentation, graphing data, spreadsheet analysis, and communication via the Internet.

METS students have benefitted from a Microsoft Instructional Lab Grant, a Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 Professional Edition Academic Instructional Use License Agreement, and a Microsoft Enterprise License Agreement which allows special student prices for Microsoft software available from the campus bookstore.
