Introduction to Engineering Technology
This course introduces students to computers, computer applications, resources, and skills that will help them to be successful in their careers. Using computers to find and communicate information via the Internet and the campus network is an important part of the course. Integrated software package knowledge is reviewed and assessed. This course includes utilization of campus resources, academic planning, discipline specific career exploration, critical thinking, and specific introductory concepts important to engineering technology students. It satisfies the freshman experience graduation requirement.

METS students have benefitted from a Microsoft Instructional Lab Grant, a Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 Professional Edition Academic Instructional Use License Agreement, and a Microsoft Enterprise License Agreement which allows special student prices for Microsoft software available from the campus bookstore.
