METS Department Computer Lab Rules

 

To maintain the quality and integrity of the computer lab we've established a few rules that will help ensure that all students and faculty can use the lab effectively.

 

·        Computer use, including Internet access, should be for academic and educational purposes. Other work, including commercial, non-profit and political is not permitted.

 

·        All software installed on the computers is licensed to Purdue University. Students should not install any software until approved by the Instructor.

 

·        Copying or plagiarism of software is NOT allowed.

 

·        The equipment setup including start-up files, Windows environment, printer settings and cables should not be altered.

 

·        No food or drinks are allowed near the computers; this includes sealed or open containers.

 

·        Be ready to leave the lab at the posted closing time.

 

·        Always log off before you leave.

 

·        Inform the Instructor of any equipment problems.

 

 

 

Violation of these rules may result in the loss of lab use.
